Someone has declared today (July 6) as International Kissing Day. So pucker up, baby.
Of course, there are more than a few surveys about kissing, but this one made me laugh. They actually asked people to judge themselves on how well they kiss. How in the world can you do that?
If you say, "Oh, everyone tells me I'm a great kisser," then I would suggest you might have a lot of people sparing your feelings. Or maybe you are the greatest kisser of all time. Who knows?
According to this survey, however, 28% of people labeled themselves a "great" kisser, and another 23% said they were "amazing." Uh huh.
The best part had to be the 2% of people who admitted they're horrible at it. They get honesty points.
What about the things that ruin a kiss? Number one on the list is bad breath, followed by too much tongue. Other people complain about not enough tongue. And several people mentioned accidentally making eye contact with the other person.
Listen, if you take a quick peek and they're staring wide-eyed at you, you might be doing something wrong. Or you're kissing the wrong person.
I strongly recommend that couples who have been together a long time do everything they can to keep the kissing alive. In fact, I'm an advocate for old married couples going parking. Yes, I know you have a house, blah blah blah. But go parking.
